Titanium waveguides hold the transducers clear of −253 °C or +600 °C.
An insertion ultrasonic gas flow meter whose 18 in (0.4 m) titanium waveguides isolate the transducers from extreme heat or cryogenic cold, covering furnace, boiler and flue gas at one end and cryogenic service at the other.
