- The challenge
- Cracking furnaces run at extreme temperature with feed and dilution-steam ratios that have to track tightly. Drift for even a few minutes changes product yield and can coke the tubes.
- Our solution
- Dyna-Flo sliding-stem control valves regulate furnace feed and dilution steam with trim built for the pressure drop across quench and transfer-line systems, while Farris Series 3800 pilot-operated valves protect the quench tower and downstream vessels against the large vapor volumes a furnace trip releases.
